China Glaze Lorelei's Tiara - Swatches and Review

It's time for a pure glitter kick on the blog. I feel more sparkle is required. So I trawled my collection and came out with Lorelei's Tiara from China Glaze's Eye Candy collection, inspired by Marilyn Monroe.

Lorelei's Tiara is comprised of a silver base, silver glitter and small blue hexes throughout. It has great coverage, needing only two coats. It is slightly gritty, but one coat of top coat should fix it (I never really bother with top coat... shhh!). It is one of the sparkliest, shiniest polishes I own.

It looks like alfoil caught in the sun. So pretty. Or better yet, it looks like a diamond tiara.

Just like it's namesake! This is from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, one of my favourite movies. Lorelei (Marilyn) gets in to a compromising position with Sir 'Piggy' and Malone the journalist gets photos of the incident. Lorelei and Dorothy (Jane Russell) get the negatives back and as a reward Piggy gives Lorelei his wife's diamond tiara. Trouble ensues!

Do you like the polish? Or the inspiration behind it?

  1. I really like this polish, and I'm a great admirer of Marilyn. The polish is still in my stash of untrieds though. :)

  2. Definitely like the nail colour
It also looks like it would suit many skin tones and occasions both day and night
