A group shot. Taken on a very distracting background. Can you spot any of your favourites yet? Or guess what the background is? I've done my favourites in groups of three rather than sorting them out 12-1.
12 to 10 L-R: OPI Unfor-Gretably Blue, OPI Suzi & the 7 Dusseldorfs, OPI The World is Not Enough.
I loved OPIs collections this year and thought the formulas and rich pigment in these three were A+.
9 to 7 L-R: Nailventurous Floam, China Glaze Beach Cruise-R, butter London Fish Wife
2012 was the year of the Indies, and Floam started a whole new matte glitter trend. I ended up with the whole Summer Neons collection from China Glaze as the formula and wear time were 100% on their previous neon offerings. As a surprise to me I wore Beach Cruise-R a lot - it was the perfect bright purple! I also expanded by butter London collection vastly in 2012 and Fish Wife provided a lovely soft linear turquoise.
6 to 4 L-R: Lynnderella Boy-Girl Party, China Glaze Riveting, OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
Forget about the Lynnderella Drama Llamas floating about the place as Boy-Girl Party was a polish worth having regardless of llama action. One coat looked great over everything as I found out throughout the year. I couldn't care less for the Hunger Games, but Riveting was a surprise pick for me. It was rich and the shimmer exquisite. Perfect pedicure colour for all seasons. Ohmss (as I cannot be bothered writing it out again!) was complex and beautiful and had incredible wear time - solidifying OPI as my favourite salon brand of all time.
Finally, my top 3 of 2012!
3 to 1 L-R: A-England Dragon, Deborah Lippmann Mermaid's Dream, butter London Two Fingered Salute.
It was actually fairly easy picking the top 3 as these were standout from the minute I saw online swatches to when I wore them multiple times throughout the year. Dragon was released pretty early on in 2012 but I knew then it was a winner. The formula was one of the best in my collection, requiring only one coat and the holographic shimmer was dense and heavy. Perfect! Mermaid's Dream was the prettiest and softest minty green with blue glitter and is one of the most original polishes I own. Two Fingered Salute is similar in terms of originality as it has bronze shimmer floating in a dusty sage-y mint base. Love them all!
So there you have it, my 2012 picks. Do you agree with any/all of them? I'll stay on my break for another few weeks, but then will be back with more Jaztee enlightenment.

I've been eyeing On Her Majesty's Secret Service since I saw the first swatches. I might have to buy it soon :D
